Ultrasound
We have installed 2 brand new Siemens Antares Ultrasound machines, and recently bought a 3rd machine - a 2007 model Siemens Acuson Sequoia 512.
These are all state-of-the-art machines with full Doppler functionality. We do all types of general, Vascular (including venous incompetence studies) and Obstetric Ultrasound, plus highly detailed Musculoskeletal scans. We are accredited through RANZCOG for Nuchal translucency scans. Dr Taplin has a subspecialty interest in Pediatrics and Musculoskeletal, and has undertaken specific postgraduate training in these. Our sonographers are highly skilled and highly experienced professionals.
The Ultrasound images are produced on a CD, which the patient will take with them after the scan.
We will always try and fit-in any urgent scan. We have bought the 3rd machine to increase our Ultrasound capabilities, as demand is so high.
